Everyone deserves to have a cheerful and safe holiday season.
That’s what Optimism Place aims to help with.
Each year, the Perth County women’s shelter provides gifts for women and children who have accessed their services.
In 2023, they provided gifts to 38 women, 61 children and 16 teens.
The organization, located in Stratford, is hosting this year’s giveaway days until Friday.
They are asking the community to drop off new, unopened and unwrapped gift items for those in need this holiday season.
From toys to pyjamas, puzzles and books, and gift items for women, any and all donations make a difference.
This year, they specifically needs gifts for teens and toddlers.
They also have an Amazon holiday gift list, where items can be purchased and shipped right to the Optimism Place’s location on Freeland Drive.
