A retro Hawaiian Luau Dance Party will offer a fun prequel to Stratford Winterfest.
Grayson Mills – Wedding and events is the venue on Saturday, Jan. 18, a week before the annual Winterfest event at Upper Queen’s Park.
DJ Gerry Bell is booked to keep the tunes rolling throughout the night.
“Get your Hawaiian shirts, your coconut bras…grass skirts, Hawaiian lays, straw hats, come on out for a good time.”
Bell said the retro theme will include a few decades of classic hits.
“We are going to play retro music from late 70’s, 80’s, early 90’s…we’re going to party.”
Tickets, at $15 each, are available through Grayson Mills or on Eventbrite.
Funds raised will go towards the Winterfest committee to keep events free of charge.
“Winterfest is great for family, it’s a great family day and we want people to come out and help support that.”
Stratford Winterfest on Jan. 25, will include blacksmith demonstrations, Zoltan the Adequate show, ice sculptors and lumberjacks, and a host of other family-friendly activities, events and shows.
A free skate the day after at the Dufferin Arena from 2:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. is sponsored by Winterfest.
