Local car dealerships raise more than $9K for United Way

The United Way Perth-Huron’s first-ever Keys for Community campaign raised the dial that much closer to the organization’s $2.62 million annual fundraising target.

Last year, from September to December, six local car dealerships across the Huron and Perth region donated $25 from each sale of a vehicle to the fundraising campaign.

A total of $9,025 was raised during the campaign from car sales.

Participating dealerships included Pentastic Motors in Gorrie, Stratford Motor Products, Stratford Nissan, Stratford Honda, Stratford City Mazda and DeJong Auto Ltd in Brucefield.

United Way Perth-Huron’s Executive Director, Ryan Erb, expressed gratitude to the dealerships for their support and customers who aided in the campaign.

Erb said their “generosity speaks volumes about their commitment to the communities they call home and makes a real difference in the lives of vulnerable people across the region.”

The money raised goes directly towards United Way’s work across the Huron-Perth region, supporting over 40 local partners and programs working to reduce poverty, house people, and support mental health and well-being.
