It’s a sweet fundraiser for our animal friends.
The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth has launched Bake for the Animals, a month-long celebration of baking and giving back to community.
You can sign up at the online bakery fundraising page and while there invite friends and family to donate in exchange for treats. The Humane Society is providing participants with a host kit and downloadable materials.
Everyone is encouraged to get involved through bake sales, sponsorship, or donation, including schools, businesses, and community groups.
Victoria Baby, CEO of the HSKWSP, said Bake for the Animals is one of its most beloved fundraisers of the year, bringing community together to change lives.
Another portion of the fundraiser is the ‘Pastry Path’. You can visit bakeries and eateries, and supporters and pets can enjoy sweet treats while completing a stamp card for a chance to win a prize.
Baby said every dollar raised helps the humane society provide care and shelter to animals in need.
