211 Day: Annual reminder that helpful information available at your fingertips

There is a lot of help available out there.

211 Day, held on the 11th day of the second month, is an annual reminder of all the information available at your fingertips, 24/7.

Susan Faber, United Way Perth-Huron Director of Resource Development and Communications, said 211 Ontario helps connect people to valuable local programs, services and supports.

She says the helpline ensures you are not facing challenges alone, as it provides personalized assistance to people in vulnerable circumstances.

That can include struggling with mental health, facing food-related challenges and looking to access United Way Perth-Huron’s Urgent Needs Fund.

You can dial or text 2-1-1, or visit 211ontario.ca.

More than 1,400 calls to 211 were made in Ontario from Perth and Huron counties last year, and there were more than 7,000 visits to the 211 Ontario website from people looking for information about local programs and services.
