Spend the weekend exploring downtown with Stratford Walking Tours

Stratford Walking Tours have two adventures around the city this weekend.

You can take your sweetheart on the Valentine’s Day Ghost Walk on Friday.

It features dark tales and spooky stories about the people, places and events that shaped the Festival city’s past, during a 60 minute, 2K route.

Stops include haunted spots such as Stratford Jail, where sightings of a young girl apparition have been reported.

Lori Leduc, owner of Stratford Walking Tours, explained the interesting concept of combining love and horror.
“So come and get over the February blahs and the winter blues, I thought I’d offer something fun for Valentines Day and have a ghost walk.”

The walk starts at 7 p.m and tickets are $15 per person.

To celebrate Family Day weekend, Leduc is offering a Stratford Culinary Tour.

This two-hour guided walking tour of downtown’s historic core, features stops at The Livery Yard, Mercer Kitchen: Beer Hall and Hotel, and MacLeods Scottish Shop.

“We’re gonna have a little bit of history and a little bit of hospitality.”

The culinary walk starts at 1 p.m. at City Hall.

Tickets are $65 per person which includes all food and beverages, tax, gratuities, gift bags and the guided tour.

Advanced tickets must be purchased for either event.
