Dan Needles, author of the popular Wingfield Farm series, is helping launch the 2025 Perth County Reads program Saturday at Stratford Public Library.
The reading initiative program, through Perth County Information Network, inspires conversation, connection, and a shared love of literature across the county.
This year’s title was penned by Needles, entitled Finding Larkspur.
Organizers said his storytelling captures the “heart of rural Ontario life, making him the perfect voice to bring the community together through reading.”
The Reads program encourages residents of all ages to read the same book and participate in events and discussions throughout the season.
It is supported by libraries across Perth County and aims to foster a deeper sense of community through the power of shared stories.
The launch event runs from 2-3 p.m. and admission is free.
