Health unit advises of measles exposure at the St. Marys Memorial Hospital

You’re being advised of a new measles exposure at the St. Marys Memorial Hospital.

Huron Perth Public Health says the exposure was in the hospital’s emergency department on Saturday between 11 a.m. and 4:07 p.m.

Officials say anyone who was at this location during the timeframe needs to monitor for measles signs and symptoms for 21 days after exposure.

If you or your family member were there during the timeframe and were born in or after 1970 and have not received two doses of measles-containing vaccines or are at high risk of severe measles illness you should complete a self-assessment.

More information can be found on the health unit’s website.
