A private member’s resolution from Randy Pettapiece will be debated this Thursday in the Ontario legislature.
The Perth-Wellington MPP wants “joint and several liability” reforms.

Pettapiece says this has opened the doors to some very large settlements, which raises municipal insurance premiums, which in turn drives up property taxes.
He says the Liberals are dragging their feet on the issue:

The resolution, which was introduced in December, has gained support from more than 90 municipalities, including several in Perth and Wellington Counties.
