A Stratford man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a police officer.
Police were called to the area of Moderwell Street on Saturday afternoon on reports of a man trying to steal cars.
Once officers found the man, he refused to cooperate and went after one of them, hurting the officer’s face.
The 28-year-old faces five charges including resisting arrest and assaulting police. The officer was treated and released from hospital.
