A mink ranch in southwestern Ontario faces 14 counts of animal cruelty.
The Ontario SPCA says in a release that they launched an investigation into the ranch in February after receiving a concern about the welfare of the mink at the ranch.
They say a thorough investigation revealed sick animals with injuries and large lesions as well as rough handling of animals, unsanitary conditions and a lack of general care.
The name and location of the ranch aren’t given in the release but media reports say it is the Millbank Fur Farm north of Guelph.
