Stratford man charged with making threats against Festival Hydro

A 30-year-old Stratford man faces several charges after police say he made threats against Festival Hydro.
Throughout Saturday morning, Stratford Police says the man contacted the Festival Hydro After Hours Emergency Line numerous times to complain about a power outage at his home.
SPS says he began to verbally abuse the calltaker as he became increasingly more upset with each phone call, eventually escalating to making threats against Festival Hydro and its employees.
The incident was reported to Stratford Police and the male was identified.
A warrant for his arrest was requested and the man turned himself in to police on Monday.
He faces charges including Uttering Threats, Making Harassing Phone Calls, and Criminal Harassment.
He’s scheduled to appear in court in Stratford on June 29th.
