Several area fire departments are at the scene of a blaze at the Sebringville Feed Mill.
Fire Investigator James Marshall tells MyStratfordNow.com crews were initially called out to the scene on Highway 8 around noon on Thursday on reports of a chimney fire.
When crews arrived he says they found smoke coming out of the chimney as well as flames about halfway up the building with smoke coming out of the basement.
Marshall says a call for additional support was then put out.
“When crews arrived they put out the fire that they could see and immediately requested West Perth to send their aerial ladder, they also asked for Milverton and full Sebringville response.”
Marshall adds they also requested St. Marys to send their aerial ladder.
He says a cause of the blaze is under investigation.
