A 69-year-old North Perth resident has been identified as the victim of a fatal collision.
First responders were called out to the two-vehicle crash at Perth Line 44 and Perth Road 180 around 1:45 Friday afternoon.
Perth County OPP says a pick-up truck was traveling westbound on Perth Line 44 and was struck by a second pick-up truck that was traveling northbound on Perth Road 180.
They say they’ve determined that the northbound truck failed to stop at the stop sign with both trucks entering the ditch.
The occupants of the westbound truck had to be extricated by the West Perth Fire Department.
The driver of the westbound truck was pronounced dead at the scene and they have been identified as Campbell Sanders from North Perth.
A 73-year-old passenger of the westbound truck, a resident of North Perth, was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries while a 23-year-old resident of Aylmer who was driving the northbound truck wasn’t injured.
