There’s a new case of COVID-19 in Huron Perth.
Updated data released by Huron Perth Public Health Friday afternoon shows the new case is in Perth County and it brings the overall total for cases to 56.
HPPH reports the number of deaths from the virus in the region remains at five while 47 have recovered.
Another 91 people have been tested for the virus since Thursday with the total of those tested now at 4,485 with 78 pending.
Ninety-eight percent of people tested in Huron Perth have been negative.
