A major road work project is set to start in Stratford next week.
Starting Monday, officials say O’Loane Avenue from Galt Road to Perth Line 36 will be temporarily closed to southbound traffic for approximately 14 weeks.
Construction is expected to be completed by November 27th and the work will include resurfacing the asphalt roadway, widening the road to include 1.5-metre paved shoulders and extending the multi-use trail to Oakdale Avenue.
The construction work will require detouring of all southbound traffic between Perth Line 36 and Galt Road while O’Loane Avenue will be accessible for northbound traffic only between Galt Road and Perth Line 36.
Funding for the project is coming from the Federal Gas Tax and the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund.
