The Stratford Warriors are still aiming to start the hockey season in early December.
That from the team’s Director of Hockey Operations, Phil Westman, who tells MyStratfordNow that for the last few months he’s sure that every team has pondered the future of hockey for 2020-2021.
Westman says in an email that, at this point, the team is still aiming to start the season on December 2nd.
However, he says with the rising COVID-19 cases across Ontario and the fact no fans may be allowed into arenas due to social gathering restrictions, he’s less optimistic there will be hockey.
Both the Buffalo Regals and the Welland Canadians have announced they wont be playing this season due to COVID-19 restrictions.
