The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance says they are seeing a sharp increase in demand for COVID-19 testing.
It comes as cases are on the rise across the province.
The HPHA says they are seeing a high number of people at their drive through Assessment Centre at the Stratford General Hospital and their team is working hard to respond to requests and book appointments.
However, they say this has lead to longer response times and they are directing more resources to the Assessment Centre, including increasing staff to respond to requests and book appointments, along with creating a new online booking form.
Huron and Perth residents worried they may have COVID-19 are still being encouraged to continue to use the Virtual Assessment Model and, if they are referred to the assessment centre, they’re being advised to use the booking form.
