A 45-year-old Perth East man faces several charges after an investigation into the sale of counterfeit antique money.

Perth County OPP says they received a report on January 26th from a victim who said they had purchased antique currency from the suspect using an online ecommerce website.

After investigating the money, the victim said the bills were found to be counterfeit.

A suspect was arrested later the same day and police used a search warrant the next day to go into a home on Mill Street West, in Perth East, as part of the investigation.

Police have now charged the man with offenses including Advertising and Dealing in Counterfeit Money.
