Coming off his most successful season to date in the National Hockey League, Jared McCann is gearing up to go again.
The 27-year-old Stratford native had a career-high 70 points with the Seattle Kraken last season, 40 goals, and 30 assists, and he says he’s spent the last few months in Toronto getting ready for this season.
When he hasn’t been working out, McCann says he’s visited his parents who live in Stratford, and enjoyed some downtime by doing things like fishing.
McCann says Stratford played a huge role in helping him make it to the NHL.
“I feel like I owe, especially the City of Stratford, a lot, I’m very thankful to say I’m from there and obviously hockey has taken me all over the place but I really enjoy coming home.”
McCann is going into his third season in Seattle and he says he expects the upcoming campaign to be another tough test.
