A Huron County woman has been charged in a case of identity theft. The Stratford Police arrested the 40-year-old after a fake Ontario driver’s licence and Social Insurance Number were used to get credit cards.
Those credit cards were then used to withdraw more than $7,500 in cash. The woman is facing five criminal charges, including identity theft, personation, and theft over $5,000.
Inspector Sam Theocharis says the Stratford Police would like to remind everyone to be diligent in protecting their personal information.
