The Perth County OPP is trying to track down a memorial park bench.
It was stolen in Listowel from the North Perth Trail sometime overnight last Friday. The grey granite bench was on a cement base near the intersection of Riverview and Havelock.
It weighs several hundred pounds and has an engraving on the backrest that reads “In memory of Tom and Mary Turbitt, 1893 – 1979, 1893 – 1995. Born County Monaghan, Ireland”.
