Stratford Police respond to more than 240 calls over hot weekend

It was a busy weekend for the Stratford Police.

Inspector Sam Theocharis says officers responded to 243 calls. They included minor liquor violations and noise complaints which Theocharis says is typical on hot weekend nights.

On top of that a 14’ Jayco Quest trailer was stolen from Boyd Street as were a number of bicycles.

A 56-year-old Stratford man was arrested for impaired driving after a crash at Shakespeare and Downie. A 32-year-old Cambridge man was also arrested in the city for theft, possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, and several breaches of court imposed conditions.
