Heat warning in effect for third day

There’s no relief yet.

Environment Canada’s heat warning for Perth and Huron counties is in effect for the third day in a row. The hot and humid air, which is going to make it seem like it’s close to 40 degrees out, is expected to last all weekend.

The City of Stratford is helping residents beat the heat with the “Keep it Kool” program. The Anne Hathaway Park Splash Pad, the Kiwanis Community Centre, the library and the Rotary Complex are all cooling centres that are part of the program.

On top of that there will be a free swim tonight at Lions Pool from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and another at the same time Saturday night.

You can find more information on how to beat the heat at the Perth District Health Unit’s website.
