Two charged after counterfeit money used in Stratford

Two women from Brampton have been charged after counterfeit money was passed in Stratford.

The police say two merchants from the mall called them Saturday after they realized they’d been given fake American bills.

At least five businesses were given the phoney money.

The two 18-year-olds are facing numerous charges.

On top of that they’re under investigation by the Waterloo Regional Police for passing fake bills in New Hamburg.
