The Perth County OPP will be cracking down on distracted driving this Labour Day weekend. It’s part of a province-wide campaign.
This comes as deaths caused by distracted driving are double the number of impaired-related deaths this year. Distracted driving has killed 38 people on OPP patrolled roads in 2016 so far.
The OPP is calling on Ontarians to develop a similar level of social intolerance for distracted driving as there is for impaired driving.
