Good progress has been made on the Ellice Swamp fire. That’s the word from the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority today.
They used 11 firetruck tankers of water yesterday. The UTRCA says they’re again working with the Perth East Fire Department today to try to get rid of hot spots along the perimeter of the fire.
Residents are still being asked to stay away from Ellice Swamp so crews can concentrate on putting the fire out.
