While you are enjoying the Canada 150 celebrations, fire officials want to make sure you’re staying safe.
The Perth East and West Perth Fire Chief Bill Hunter says car crashes often are the biggest issue during the long weekend.
He says to have a safe Canada 150 you need to remember to slow down, pay attention and plan for traffic.
Hunter says if you’re having a drink this weekend make sure you have an alternate plan to get home.
The fire department is open 24/7 and is ready to respond to any emergencies this weekend.
