Barbara Hacking Recognized by City for Contributions to the Community

The City of Stratford is recognizing a former teacher and active volunteer for her contribution to the community.

Mayor Dan Mathieson presented the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers to Barbara Hacking in last night’s city council meeting.

Hacking has worked closely in urban beautification as part of Communities in Bloom.

She was part of bringing the Ted Blowes Memorial Garden to life in Stratford, which was unveiled last week to honour the former mayor and co-founder of CIB.
