Crews will begin the widening of Erie Street in Stratford starting August 21st.
A special council meeting was called on Thursday to award the contract to Cox Construction Limited.
Connecting Link funding from the province will be going towards 90 per cent of the project costs, which total nearly 2.4 million-dollars.
The widening is slated between Lorne Avenue and Gibb Road.
Due to the timing of the project, some weekend work has been rolled into the contract with heavy intersection work set to be completed at night time.
