Stratford Police are searching for a vehicle they say was recorded going close to 200 kilometres an hour.
Shortly after 4:30 Tuesday afternoon, police say they observed a white Subaru sedan on Perth Line 20 traveling east at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle was initially observed to be traveling at 125km/h in the posted 80km/h zone and it increased to 187km/h after police started following it.
The pursuit was called off by police because of a high risk to public safety.
Anyone with information is asked to call SPS.
