Stratford Festival posts $404,000 surplus for 2023 season

Strong attendance, donor support, and financial management all combined to help the Stratford Festival post a surplus for their 2023 season.

Officials say the season featured thirteen full productions with more than 443,000 people coming to Stratford for shows, up 35 per cent from 2022.

All combined, it led to a surplus of $404,000 with a total revenue of $80.1 million against expenses of $79.7 million.

Earlier this week, the festival released a new report that revealed it has had an overall economic impact of $276.7 million.
