Masking will remain mandatory in emergency departments at hospitals in the Stratford area.
Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance officials say that based upon consultations with partner hospitals throughout the South West Region, and the most recent Public Health Ontario guidelines, they have updated their masking policy.
As of Wednesday, masking will be welcomed, but no longer required, in many clinical areas of HPHA’s hospital sites.
However, masking will be required for people experiencing symptoms of respiratory infection.
