Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae says housing and healthcare are the two biggest issues he hears about locally.
To that end, Rae says the just tabled 2024-25 provincial budget helps to address both including $546 million earmarked to expand primary healthcare across Ontario.
Rae says the funding is vitally important to the public healthcare system because it allows more Ontario residents to access services outside of a hospital setting.
He adds that municipalities can also expect greater support as the province continues to pursue its goal of building 1.5 million homes.
