Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board to host emergency response training

Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board is partnering with local and regional police services for emergency response training at St. Anne’s Catholic Secondary School in Clinton.

The provincial police’s west region tactics and rescue unit, emergency response team and Huron detachment police officers will be at the high school during a P.A. day on Nov. 21 for scenarios involving high risk situations including active attackers.

Training will run from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

The public will notice emergency response vehicles and personnel in and around the school properties and should not be alarmed.

Insp. Laura Lee Brown, Huron OPP Detachment Commander, said integrated response training plays a crucial role in public and officer safety.
