Students learn more about their home province during Ontario Day

Students in the Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board were provided a chance to learn more about their province.

As part of Ontario Day, held annually on June 1, students at St. Aloysius Catholic Elementary School in Stratford highlighted the Great Lakes, Stratford Festival, and Toronto Blue Jays as features of their home province.

The board said resources were dedicated to the history and heritage of the Indigenous peoples of Ontario, French-language materials, and curated literacy and visual art choice boards.

Other students engaged in an Ontario-Day themed math assignment to explore water conservation, recycling data in
Ontario communities and forest stewardship.
