Perth-Wellington MPP Matthew Rae has announced $488,000 in funding for Huron Perth Public Health, part of a $60 million one-time investment for public health units across Ontario.
Rae said on Tuesday that funding supports local initiatives, service delivery priorities, prevention, preparedness, and frontline services that families depend on.
He adds that funding supports the provincial government’s work to strengthen public health to improve capacity, stability, and sustainability and deliver more equitable health outcomes for Ontarians.
