Free online appointments coming soon to Stratford-Perth Archives

Researchers will have a more convenient way to learn from the archives.

The County of Perth announced that Stratford-Perth Archives will launch a virtual appointment service starting Nov. 1.

This allows researchers who can’t visit the archives building in-person, especially in the winter season, to connect with staff online for their work.

Manager of Archives Services Betty Jo Belton said the service helps reduce barriers and increase access for all researchers.

County staff said these free appointments can be used for different reasons including asking archives staff questions related to your research topic/topics, reviewing research findings and getting visual access to a selection of scanned records/items.

Appointment hours are 10 a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday to Friday.

The service will be available until March 31.

To book an appointment, contact the archives by email: archives@perthcounty.ca, or by phone 519-271-0531 ext. 259.
