Dangerous driving cause death charge against driver in mall parking lot collision

Stratford police on Friday said they have now charged the driver of a vehicle that struck a pedestrian at Stratford Mall.

The collision occurred near the LCBO on Aug. 16, a busy Sunday morning at the local mall.

An 86-year-old male later died as a result of his injuries.

Stratford police said the investigation has concluded and the driver involved is charged with dangerous driving cause death.

The 38-year-old resident of St. Catharines turned himself over to police and was arrested on Oct. 11.

Police say the driver was released from custody. The charge will be addressed at court Nov. 9.
