PED comes to Perth County

Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea has hit Perth County.

The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture confirmed the case this morning at a farrow-to-finish operation.

The ministry has also confirmed another case of the deadly disease in Chatham-Kent. 

That puts the total number of infected farms in Ontario at seven.

PED was first confirmed in the province on January 22^nd at a Middlesex County farm.
