There was a snowmobile crash last Friday afternoon on a nearby OFSC trail.
The Oxford County OPP was called out at 12:30pm to the collision near Township road 4 and Oxford Road 3 in Blandford-Blenheim township.
The 11-year-old girl had lost control and struck a fence.
She had serious but non-life threatening injuried and was taken to hospital while her passenger had a minor injury.
Police remind you if you’re a snowmobile enthusiast to be careful out there and always were approved equipment like a helmet.
The OPP would like to remind snowmobile operators they need to treat snowmobiles with respect and use common sense when operating.
- Always wear an approved helmet.
- Be aware that the maximum speed on trails is 50 km/hr.
- Make sure you have a valid trail pass and insurance.
- Ensure snowmobile drivers meet licensing requirements.
