Stratford Jail inmates being transferred in anticipation of strike

The Stratford Jail is nearly out of inmates.

A report in the Beacon Herald says they’re being transferred to other locations.

This comes as the guards and probation and parole workers close in a legal strike or lockout deadline.

The OPSEU members will be in that position as of this Sunday.

They’ve been without a contract since the end of last December.
