Energy board approves natural gas rate hike

This is no April Fools Day prank; natural gas rates are going up in Ontario on April 1^st.

Your bill will jump by $400 each year if Enbridge is your supplier.

The gas giant’s rate increase was approved by the province’s energy board yesterday.

Enbridge says the full impact of the hike won’t be felt by most homes until next winter.

The corporation says the long and bitter winter caused it to burn through its winter supply of natural gas.
