John Adam (Jack) Stevenson, age 94, passed away peacefully at the Mitchell Nursing Home on October 29, 2016. Jack was born in Downie Township, August 21, 1922, son of the late Campbell and Roxie Stevenson. Jack and his wife Margaret lived and farmed all of their life in Downie Township. He was a member of Thamesview United Church, Fullarton. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (Robinson) who predeceased him in 2007. Loving father of Jean Stevenson. Also survived by a sister-in-law Donna Robinson, nieces and nephews Anne Cross (Dan), Barb Gorvett (Dave), Don Cosstick (Michelle), Kevin Cosstick, Gary Cosstick, Sandi Villeneuve, Paul Robinson, Karen McCoy (Ian) and their families. Predeceased by sisters Jean Campbell Stevenson, Elizabeth Armstrong (Betty) Cosstick (Lloyd) and by a brother-in-law Donald Robinson. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Wednesday, November 2, from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Rev. Nancy Knowles will officiate. Interment at Avonbank Cemetery.
