Council approves Local’s commemorative garden and edible forest

The Local Community Food Centre’s community garden and edible forest is a go. Stratford City Council approved the project at Monday night’s meeting.

The garden will be going in Dufferin Park. Steve Stacey with the Local says there will be opportunities for people to sign up for their own garden plots.

The project is a way to commemorate Canada’s Sesquicentennial. You can find more details about the garden by getting in touch with the Local. There’s going to be a planning meeting this Thursday night at the Local at 6:00pm for anyone interested in the project.
