Heat Warning Extended, Cooling Centres and Splash Pads Remain Open Throughout the Day

Environment Canada has extended its heat warning for a third day with the forecast calling for a high in the low 30s and a humidex around 40 degrees.

In response, the City of Stratford has launched its Keep it Kool program, granting free access cooling centres and splash pads in the area.

The Kiwanis Community Centre, the Stratford Public Library and Rotary Complex are all keeping their doors open today along with the splash pads at Market Square and Anne Hathaway Park.

Environment Canada says relief is on the way as a cold front is expected to pass through the area on Wednesday.
