Stratford is holding its first ever Lantern Parade to celebrate the heritage and diversity wrapped up in the city.
One of the event’s organizers Susan Kennedy says the family-friendly event’s goal is to light up the Avon riverside.
She says if the lantern workshops are any indication of the crowd, hundreds are expected to join in.
The parade, which anyone can participate in, will gather at the Visitors Info Centre of York Street at 6:00pm on Saturday before heading down the Avon to a reception at Gallery Stratford.
