Mitchell manufacturer Armtec has been recognized by the Perth East and West Perth fire departments for stepping up safety in the workplace.
It’s received the Fire Chief’s Commendation for improvements to monitoring air quality and the threat from carbon monoxide.
Fire Chief William Hunter says it came following a close call involving a carbon monoxide leak at a neighbouring business.
He says recognizing people and businesses for the award helps to raise awareness and highlight how make a difference at home and in the work place on a local level.
Hunter says the commendation isn’t an annual award and can go to anyone or any business which makes an impact.
