Raymond John Schwartzentruber, age 81, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Stratford General Hospital on Friday, December 8, 2017.
He was born on September 24, 1936 a son of the late John and Elizabeth (Bender)Â Schwartzentruber.
Raymond and his wife Grace operated a dairy farm in East Zorra Township for twenty-five years until moving to Tavistock in 1987 where they resided until moving to Stratford in 2007. Raymond was an active member of the Tavistock Mennonite Church.
He is survived by his wife, the former Grace Swartzentruber, three daughters, Charlotte, Sharon and Susan.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Kathleen Charters and Beatrice Ullner and his brother Don.
Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home at 77 Woodstock Street North, Travistock on Monday, December 11th from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm. Private burial will be at the East Zorra Mennonite Cemetery, 16th Line followed by a memorial service at Tavistock Mennonite Church on Tuesday, December 12th, 2017 at 11:00am. Pastor Jim Brown will officiate. Reception following.
