Volunteers, local business, groups and organizations helped to put food on the table for an estimated 1,200 people as part of To Stratford with Love.
The event, now in its 29th year, was started by Richard and Ruth Kneider in a single room hosted by a local restaurant.
Richard Kneider says this year’s event was the biggest yet, with around 200 international students from Japan and Brazil joining the over 1,000 others on Saturday night.
He says having the meal free and completely open to anyone who wishes to attend is intentional because it helps to break down social barriers.
Organizers are already looking into a booking date and making preparations for its 30th year.
